Named after Gladys Aylward, a 20th century missionary, who rescued over 100 orphans from the Japanese invasion of china by walking 125 miles through the mountains to safety. The Aylward is made of beautiful quarter-sawn white oak with walnut accents. The dark chocolatey brown of the walnut perfectly complements the warm honey brown of the white oak creating a pleasing and inviting contrast. The cross* on top is removable and intended to be cherished as a keepsake for years to come. The Aylward is available next day, but by pre purchasing you lock in todays price and don't have to worry about rising costs years down the road.
*cross inlay optional.
Named in honor of Amy Carmichael, missionary to India, whose works helped end the practice to abandoning children at Hindu temples for prostitution and whose organization (the Dohnavur Fellowship) continues to support over 500 girls and young women.
The Carmichael is our fully custom casket option for those who are preplanning their needs. You will work with our designer ($250 design fee) to create a piece that speaks to your unique personality. There is a 14-16 week leadtime for custom work.
We realize that a major hurtle of preplanning a casket is where to store it. If you don't have space at your home we can store it for you. For $1,200 we will store your casket for 10 years. That's $10 per month. If you need the casket before 10 years we will refund the balance or you can stipulate that the remaining balance be used to fund additional grants. If you are over 90 years of age when the 10 years expires additional storage will be provided free of charge.
