The idea for Legacy Casket Co. originated with the passing of my own grandmother in 2021. My grandfather gave me the opportunity to honor her by making her casket. He requested that I use the wood from their property, where they had lived together for over 60 years. This was truly one of the greatest honors of my life. I experienced first-hand how profound and deeply moving it was to honor my grandmother’s life in this way. The simple beauty of the hardwood casket, topped with fresh flowers, was neither gaudy nor distracting. It felt like just the right thing.
While doing my research for this project, I quickly discovered how expensive caskets can be. My desire is to help other families, who are going through loss, honor their loved one by crafting an affordable, yet elegant, casket.

Why adoption? What is the connection? My wife and I started the adoption process in 2022. Since the beginning of our marriage, we have been involved in caring for children in vulnerable situations. Though we always desired to adopt, we had been hesitant to pursue this due to the high costs. While pondering how to financially provide for this adoption, a two-fold ministry began to develop. We could minister to other families, like I did for my grandparents, while also providing the critical funding needed for adoptions. Thus the idea for Legacy Casket Co. was born. Our core desire is to provide you with a simple, beautiful casket that is affordable and the same time allow you to partner with us in bringing an orphan into a forever family. Fifty percent of all profits will go towards grants for adoptive families. While the first year will go towards bringing our child home, we don’t want to stop there! We are deeply moved to compassion by the fact that there are over 100 million orphans in the world who need a new chance at family and love. We are deeply committed to honoring your loved one’s legacy through seeing many children become adopted into loving families!
